NGO The NGO Service Center is a developmental activity aiming to increase the participation of citizens and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in development. The Center is sponsored by the Ministry of Insurance and Social Affairs (MISA) in Egypt and funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID). After the five-year activity period, the Center is to become a permanent, Egyptian entity. In the interim the Center is managed by Save the Children/USA in partnership with America’s Development Foundation and Infonex Corporation, under the guidance of a Steering Committee and an NGO Advisory Board. The Center’s operations are managed from its Cairo office and two regional offices in Upper and Lower Egypt
